The Stuttgart Welcome Center in the heart of the state capital is the central place of first contact and advice in the Stuttgart Region. It offers assistance to all new residents and people from abroad who wish to live and work in Stuttgart or the Stuttgart Region in order to ease the transition and integration process.

The team provides information and advice on:

  • Entry and residence rules
  • Learning German abroad and in Germany
  • Looking for and applying for jobs
  • Finding accommodation, childcare, etc.

and puts you in touch with the bodies responsible in the region.

The Stuttgart Welcome Center is an expression of embracing a welcoming culture of recognition. It is fittingly located near the ifa, a competence Center for foreign cultural diplomacy, in the Altes Waisenhaus on Stuttgart's Charlottenplatz. Its immediate neighbours include the fair trade café and the fair trade shop. The fair trade café is a meeting place for people of all nationalities. Information events and training measures by the Welcome Center also take place there.

The Welcome Service Region Stuttgart (WSRS) is an offering by the Stuttgart Region Economic Development Corporation (Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart GmbH). The project is funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism Baden-Württemberg.
