Networks in the Stuttgart Region
The Skilled Professional Alliance Stuttgart Region
Since its foundation in 2010, the Skilled Professional Alliance Stuttgart Region has been committed to securing and recruiting skilled workers in the Stuttgart Region.
The members of the steering committee are the employment agencies in the region, the German Trade Union Federation Stuttgart Region, IG Metall Region Stuttgart, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Stuttgart Region, the Stuttgart Region Chamber of Skilled Crafts, Robert Bosch GmbH, the Südwestmetall employers’ association and the Stuttgart Region Economic Development Corporation. The aim is for the key labour market policy players to take a joint look at the regional challenges in order to set the appropriate strategic course. To this end, the alliance networks the players, pools their activities and initiates regional key projects.

One of these key projects is the Welcome Service Region Stuttgart. The members of the Skilled Professional Alliance regularly network on the topic of securing skilled workers from abroad and organise events for companies and international professionals.
Examples include a job fair for foreign professionals, trainees and assistants (twice a year) and an online event on support options for employing and training international professionals (twice a year).
In addition to the focus on the supra-regional skilled labor potential and immigration, there is also a focus on qualification/training networks and the skilled labor potential of women.
