Welcome Centers in Baden-Württemberg
The twelve Welcome Centers in Baden-Württemberg

In Baden-Württemberg, there are 12 Welcome Centers for securing skilled workers from abroad, which have been funded by the Ministry of Economy, Labor and Tourism Baden-Württemberg since 2014. 11 of these are Welcome Centers in the regions that operate across all sectors. There is also a state-wide Welcome Center for the social economy for regulated healthcare and social professions such as nurses, doctors and educators. The Baden-Württemberg Welcome Centers are provided by various institutions – business development agencies, chambers of industry and commerce, local authorities, but also at social institutions.
The Welcome Centers serve as contact points for international professionals and students, supporting them on their arrival in their new home country. They also support small and medium-sized companies that want to attract and retain international professionals in the long term. The Welcome Centers are independent, state funded and offer all services without any fees to their customers.
The aim is to attract more international professionals to the Baden-Württemberg economy, to support them and their families in their arrival and integration and to strengthen the culture of welcome and recognition. The Welcome Centers are working together in a Baden-Württemberg wide network. Therefore they can support migrants and companies all over Baden-Württemberg. With the state network, Baden-Württemberg has an almost nationwide structure of contact points that is unique in Germany.
